Once again, the BMBF main stage at 700 N. First Street will host a talented and diverse collection of local acts, national headliners and a Grammy winner from the world of Blues, Rock, Soul, Rockabilly and Country.

Headliners this year include the Texas Trio, THE REVEREND HORTON HEAT. They electrify audiences worldwide with their incredible stage presence and contagious energy. Their sound is a mix of Surf, Country, Big Band, Punk, Swing and Rockabilly with humorous lyrics. The Reverend Horton Heat will take to the BMBF main stage on Saturday, August 31st at 9:00 pm. Opening for The Rev. with a 7:00 pm show is Billboard Magazine’s #1 Blues Artist, Canadian (now a St. Louis resident) Blues guitarist, ANTHONY GOMES.

On Sunday, September 1st the great Blues guitarist, WALTER TROUT will perform at 7:00 pm. A former member of John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers, Trout holds the sixth spot on BBC Radio One’s list of the Top 20 guitarists of all time. On June 11th, Trout will release, Luther’s Blues, a tribute to the late, great Luther Allison. Trout will serve as the lead-in for Grammy winner, DAVID CLAYTON-THOMAS who will close out the BMBF main stage with a 9:00 pm show. Clayton-Thomas, most notably known for being the former front-man of Blood, Sweat and Tears will release his first full-length Blues album, A Blues For The New World on May 7th. With a 10-piece band, he will perform his own blend of Rhythm and Blues, Reggae, Big Band, Jazz and Be-Bop, all with a funky undercurrent of down-home Blues (as well as some BS&T classics). In 2013, Clayton-Thomas will perform only five concerts in North America before his European tour.

In an addition, some of the local favorites scheduled include, Billy Peek, Jeremiah Johnson Band & The Sliders, Marquise Knox, Soulard Blues Band, Miss Jubilee & the Humdingers, Bible Belt Sinners, Big Mike Aguirre & the Blues Allstars, Funky Dragons and Inner City Blues Band.

Main stage limited VIP tickets are $45/day, with general admission lawn seating available for $13/day. Tickets will be available for purchase starting mid-May, along with a full listing of the line-up.

Big Muddy Blues Festival is a Labor Day Weekend tradition in downtown St. Louis.
2013 marks the 18th year of the festival. It is because of great fans like you that we
are able to continue to grow this festival into a nationally recognized event. Last
year fans attended Big Muddy all the way from the United Kingdom and South
America.

Though Mother Nature threw us a loop with the weather, we are happy that we had several venues on The Landing that helped make it possible to be able to go on with a revised show on Saturday. However, we’re glad the skies cleared up and allowed us to pull off our traditional outdoor festival on Sunday.

Many thank yous go out to our outstanding volunteers and production crew who all work so hard and so many long hours to make Big Muddy possible.

The Bronze and Gold Level VIP tickets are limited and only available for pre-purchase! They are selling fast and will most likely be sold out before Friday hits.

Labor Day weekend is jam-packed with amazing music, food, and great people on Laclede’s Landing. You cannot miss this St. Louis Blues tradition with 30 bands, 3 Stages, and a total of 20 hours of music! The 17th Annual Big Muddy Blues Festival presented by Crown Royal is set to be one of our best!

The Gold Level ticket is the Grand Daddy of all the tickets. It includes access to the backstage-rooftop VIP lounge & bar, a designated seat in front of the Budweiser Main Stage, free catered food, three free drink tickets, private restrooms, free parking and access to the CAO Cigar Bar presented by Discount Smoke Shop.

With the Silver Level, you receive access to the backstage-rooftop VIP lounge & bar, access to the General Admission area, free catered food, private restrooms, free parking and access to the CAO Cigar Bar presented by Discount Smoke Shop. To make it clear, the Silver Level does not include a seat in front of the Budweiser Main Stage or the three free drink tickets.

The CAO VIP Lounge & Bar is located behind the Budweiser Main Stage on the rooftop of the Riverfront parking garage. You will have a backstage view, while enjoying an exclusive experience in our lounge area. Throughout the day Big Muddy artists will be mingling in the CAO VIP Lounge & Bar, giving you a chance to meet and take photos with these talented musicians.

With all tickets you will receive a wristband upon entry, which allows you to come and go as you please. Parking is provided for the Gold and Silver Level “Purchasers” in the Levee lot, which is located on Leonor K Sullivan between Morgan and Lucas Streets. (If you purchased your tickets through Living Social or RFT/Voice Deals, parking is excluded.) *Please bring your I.D.s

General Admission ($10/day) and Silver Level ($65/day) tickets will be available for purchase at the gate, each day of the festival. Gold and Bronze Level tickets are limited and selling fast, pre-purchase these two levels online.

One of our Budweiser main stage artists, Ana Popovic will be a star attraction this Labor Day weekend, playing at 7pm on September 2nd. Learn some quick facts on this talented artist!

Ana’s career has been meteoric, and shows no signs of slowing down! The most impressive aspect of Ana’s music is her diversity of techniques and styles. Her blend of smoking electric funk slide guitar, jazzy instrumentals, tight blues groove, soulful feminine vocals and her incredible stage presence makes her an irresistible force in the music world. Ana Popovic was born in the war torn town of Belgrade, formerly Yugoslavia. Ana grew up in a warm and loving family where music was very important. Her father would, throughout her youth, always invite friends over for nightly jam sessions where Ana listened and analyzed the deep artistic roots of her music. In this atmosphere, she quickly picked up her father’s impressive blues and soul record collection, grabbed his guitar and went to work at a young age of 15. Since then, Ana Popovic has developed into an phenomenal guitarist/vocalist who now currently resides in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Today Ana and her phenomenal 4-piece band are tirelessly touring, playing major blues / jazz and rock festivals around the world!

Bringing this diversity among artists and music makes for an exciting event. Therefore, Laclede’s Landing will be the place to be this Labor Day weekend!

This year, we are offering two new levels of tickets. The Gold Level ticket experience allows you entrance to the CAO Backstage-Rooftop VIP Lounge & Bar with access to complimentary food and three drinks of your choice. The VIP Lounge & Bar hosts a meet and mingle with various Big Muddy performers. This ticket provides access to the Cigar Bar, presented by Discount Smoke Shop. The Gold Level, $85/day, provides an assigned seat in front of the Budweiser Main Stage, as well as free parking and private bathroom facilities.

The Silver level, $65/day, offers everything that the Gold level offers except, no drink tickets and there is no VIP seat offered in front of the stage, you will however be allowed into the general admission area. The Bronze level ticket, $25/day, provides you with an assigned seat directly in front of the Budweiser Main Stage. General admission ticket, $10/day, you can bring a blanket or lawn chair and pick a spot on the grass. It is first come, first serve.

Tickets have been on-sale for over a week and are selling fast. VIP tickets are only available for pre-purchase, so get yours before they’re gone!
